IT is the village battle of the sexes that will eventually reveal the naked truth.
Is it the men or the women of Hamble who can make more money for charity by taking their clothes off?
Last year female business owners in Hamble created their own version of the Calendar Girls raising £5,000 for Hamble Lifeboat.
Now it is the turn of the men – and when the call went out barmen, waiters, personal trainers, chefs and more were desperate to help with Hamble’s Full Monty.
In the line-up are four pubs, two restaurants, a riverside estate agents, a yacht salesman, two muscular fitness experts, a lifeboat team and village sailing club.
The cheeky men who flashed the flesh this year are confident they will beat the Local Ladies Business Club total, having raised £1,000 already.
Richard Heyman from Accrete Professional Services Ltd said: “There is definitely some quiet competition between the parties, a lot of the men taking part weren’t shy about it so I’m sure lots of people will enjoy it and we will sell more.”

Those brave enough to get their kit off are representing businesses in Hamble such as The Victory Inn, Bonne Bouche cafe, Compass Point Accommodation and Pinnacle Performance and Training.
Janet Bradley from the King & Queen pub posed naked behind the bar last year.
She said: “All the men were jeering last year saying they could have done better, so of course we told them to man up and give it a go themselves.
Janet added: “A lot of the men weren’t shy about getting their kit off for the cameras so I think it’s going to cause quite a stir.”

Hamble Lifeboat’s crew are the poster boys for December 2015.
Chief coxswain, James Godwin said: “It’s all very cheeky and was great fun to do, we’ve got so many people into the calendar so I’m sure there is something for everyone in there and hopefully we can beat the ladies – it’s all a bit of friendly competition.”
The calendar costs £10, which will all go to the lifeboat, and will be on sale in Hamble and online at fullmontyhamble.co.uk.
