A DOCUMENTARY featuring a Southampton wildlife expert urging people to enjoy the great outdoors will be screened at a film festival this week.

Chris Packham, below, has teamed up with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust (HIWWT) in a bid to inspire children and families to find out more about the county’s flora and fauna.

The Springwatch presenter visited Testwood Lakes Nature Reserve to help launch a new campaign to inspire people to explore the county’s wildlife.

Called Make a Wild Change, it will be shown tomorrow as part of Southampton Film Week 2014. It shows how HIWWT has inspired families to get really wild.

The free screening is from 4pm to 6pm at Turner Sims, Highfield. Call 01489 774400 for more information.
