THEY have been looking after children in Southampton for more than 30 years, but now the newest Paint Pots Nursery in the city will be turning its attention to adults as well as youngsters.
The flagship base in Portswood, owned by David and Anna Wright, will not only look after children but also include training for those looking to get into childcare, as well as facilities for the community.
The business, which was set up in 1983, now looks after more than 600 children a week with 100 members of staff, based at five day nurseries, two pre-schools and an after-school club.
And their latest expansion has created 20 jobs for people in the area.
David said: “We understand how precious children are and this is a really exciting new centre because we want to reach out to the community by offering various clubs as well as begin to help train people who would like to work in the industry.”
The nursery will be hosting an open morning offering children the chance to meet cartoon character Peppa Pig on Saturday, November 15, from 10am until noon.
