Fire service hiring for on-call crews
WINCHESTER firefighters are seeking new recruits to attend incidents on call.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service is hiring for its on-call crews in Winchester and Sutton Scotney.
On-call firefighters respond to the same types of emergencies as full-time crews and are paid bonuses for attending incidents and training sessions.
Applicants should live or work within four minutes of the fire station so they can respond promptly to emergency calls.
Anyone interested is asked to pop in to a training session and meet on-call firefighters from 7pm on Wednesdays in Winchester and Thursdays in Sutton Scotney.
