A ROBBER slashed a man when he refused to hand over his mobile phone.
The 19-year-old victim was walking along in the Merryoak area of Southampton when he was approached by the robber.
The attacker demanded the victim hand over his mobile phone. He refused to do so and the attacker slashed at him, cutting his torso.
The robber then ran off in the direction of Blackthorn Road.
The attacker is described as white, in his late 20s or early 30s, of a skinny build with short, greasy, mousey coloured hair.
He was wearing a grey jumper, ripped dark jeans and beige work style boots. He was also missing some teeth.
The incident happened on Friday, October 31, between 9.40pm and 10pm.
Police say nothing was taken from the victim and it is unclear what the implement was which was used to cut the man.
They added that the cuts were minor injuries, which did not require medical treatment.
Anyone who recognises this description or who was in the area at the time and saw this man is asked to contact DC Martin Brewer on 101.
