SEVERE traffic is building up on a Hampshire motorway after a fault with electronic matrix signs.
Signs on the M27 westbound carriageway near junction 10 at Fareham wrongly warn people a stretch between junctions 2 and 3 at Southampton is closed.
But police confirm the carriageway is fully open.
The confusion is causing motorists to slow down and has triggered major congestion between junction 10 and junction 5 at Eastleigh.
