Plans for a £200,000 makeover of a Hampshire community centre have been approved.
Fareham Borough Council’s executive panel agreed to fund the renovation of Abshot community Centre, near Fareham. A survey of the building in 2008 found that it is in need of improvement to the roof, gutters, disability access, insulation and electricity system.
Fareham councillor Connie Hockley said: “It really is in need of a lot of gutting and things like that. The figure of £200,000 is not set in stone and we will just have to see.”
