HAMPSHIRE students are taking part in the filming of a new BBC documentary series being filmed in the Great Hall.
The students from Peter Symonds College and the university joined local residents for the first of five programmes in the What Next? series.
Nathan Scott (formerly at Kings’ School), Zoni Asif (ex-Aldworth Science College) and Siobhan Addo (ex-The Costello School) were joined by history teacher Gill Pickering.
The series, hosted by Mark Easton, BBC Home Editor who also went to Peter Symonds College in the 1970s, has been looking at the future of the UK Constitution and questioning the potential implications of the idea ‘English votes for English laws’.
The series brings together regional reactions to this concept and is being broadcast as part of the BBC’s Six and Ten o’clock News programmes.
Winchester was the first one to be filmed and is due to be broadcast this week.
