Hampshire-based logistics firm PSP has announced plans to open a new office.
The sponsors of Southampton Boat Show, are to open an office in Poole, Dorset.
PSP’s Poole office, which will solely focus on freight and packing services, marks the latest stage in the company's expansion and brings its total number of offices in the UK to four.
Managing Director, Frank Dixie, said: “Demand for our freight and packing services continues to grow, particularly in the commercial side of the business and our new office will allow us to not only better service our existing customers in that area but also attract new businesses in the vicinity.
“The decision to open an office in Poole was a strategic one, with the borough and neighbouring Bournemouth fast becoming an epicentre for business and manufacturing.
"Only this month Bournemouth was listed by Grant Thornton as one of the biggest growth places outside London, which supports our understanding that there is a great deal of business to be done there.”
PSP, which is baseed at Segensworth,is seeking to employ local staff for the office, which will be based in Poole Harbour and open in October. Already the firm is working closely with Poole Harbour Authorities in to bring more business to the port.
Frank concluded: “The success of our satellite offices in London and the Isle of Wight shows how business can be developed just by having a local base and we are excited about the possibilities the Poole office will bring.
“Looking at the long term future of PSP we hope to establish even more offices across the UK as part of our mission to become the independent UK market leader in project logistics, freight, packing and boat transportation.”
