HUNDREDS of people gathered for the sparkling highlight of a Hampshire community's calendar last night.
A traditional torchlight procession and firework display took place in Alresford.
At the start of the annual event, excited crowds gathered at the top of Broad Street before lighting wax flare candles and marching along West Street to an impressive fireworks display at Arlebury Park.
The event, run by Alresford Rotary, also included Guys made by local children and hot refreshments.
All proceeds from the event went to support local, national and international Rotary charities.
