PASSENGERS at Southampton Central railway station face delays of up to an hour after power supply failure.
Staff have spent this afternoon inspecting power supply problems in the tunnel.
One line is currently blocked.
Now South West Trains has confirmed there will be delays and cancellations between Southampton Central and St Denys until 8pm today.
A spokesman for South West Trains said: "The faulty cable has now been replaced and the problem rectified.
"The power (traction current) has been restored to all lines and we are able to run trains to Romsey. There will continue to be some alterations as we work to restore trains to their normal timetable.
"We are sorry for any disruption to your journey today."
