Debbie Thrower
FORMER TV newsreader Debbie Thrower is to be appointed an honorary lay canon at Winchester Cathedral.
Debbie, who lives near Alresford and is a reader at an Alton church, is also to be made a member of the Cathedral Chapter in a Choral Evensong service tomorrow afternoon.
The Bishop of Winchester, the Right Rev Tim Dakin, will preside and preach.
Debbie became a Chaplain to Older People in Alton in 2010.
Debbie remains a part-time Anna Chaplain as well as working for the national charity the Bible Reading Fellowship.
