HAMPSHIRE X Factor hopeful Tom Mann kept his cool when faced with an imposter on stage last night.
The 21-year-old and the rest of his band, Stereo Kicks, remained composed when comedian Lee Nelson stormed his way onto the stage during the group’s performance of Michael Jackson’s You Are Not Alone.
Prankster Nelson, whose real name is Simon Brodkin, wore a red bomber jacket, high top white trainers and jeans as mimed along to the performance in front of millions of viewers.
He was then bundled away by security.
Tom’s band were praised by the judges for the way they handled the situation.
On his Twitter page afterwards, Nelson told his followers: “There are so many of them I thought anyone could have a go. Really hope the boys keep me on.”
He added: “Stereo Kicks were top lads. Still think they’d be better off with 9. I’d vote for them but Cowell’s got my phone.”
Tom, who is from Eastleigh, has yet to mention the incident to his Twitter followers.
