POLICE are hunting two thieves caught on camera stealing a Poppy Appeal collection tin from a Hampshire store.
Officers have released the images from CCTV footage which clearly shows a man and a woman stealing the charity tin from the front counter of the Southern Co-op store, in Hambledon Road, Denmead.
After walking around the store, the man distracted the cashier while the woman swipes the red collection box from the side of the till.
The theft happened just after 4.40pm on Friday, November 7.
PC Sarah Newman, said: “This was a disgraceful crime which is disrespectful to those who have given so much for our country.
“I would urge everybody to look at these pictures and get in touch with us if you recognise these people, or have any other information that could assist our inquiry.”
