A HAMPSHIRE teenager who launched a vicious attack on his pregnant girlfriend has been jailed for two years after the judge branded him a danger to the public.
Nicholas Jeffrey was already on bail for a violent attack when he battered his 34-week pregnant partner at their Fareham home in June last year.
The 19-year-old's repeated assault left her suffering bone fractures, burst blood vessels, a broken nose and bruising to her face and body, though it is not thought the attacked harmed her unborn child,Portsmouth Crown Court heard.
As well as jailing Jeffrey, who admitted a GBH charge, Judge Roger Hetherington ordered he also serve an extended period of three years on licence on his release.
