Pupils at Swanmore College of Technology were inspired by positive messages passed on to them by survivors of the Holocaust, as part of their Holocaust Memorial Day.
The whole school took part in activities to mark the day, including an art project and a tree planting ceremony as a mark of remembrance for those who died.
Claire Barker, director of humanities at the school, said: "It has been really beneficial for all of the students to be given a real insight into what happened.
"All of the survivors who have spoken about their personal experiences with the children have had very positive messages, that they have survived.
"It has been quite a moving experience for everybody involved."
