Police officers searching for missing Southampton mum Charlene McCluskey have found a body.
The 29-year-old disappeared a week ago today after leaving work at the Richmond Inn pub in Portswood Road.
Earlier today police conducted door-to-door searches in the Gordon Avenue area for the mother-of two, who was last seen on Wednesday, February 11.
Last night specialist search teams located the body of a woman in an area of dense woodland near Southampton Common.
A police spokesman said: "Whilst formal identification is yet to be made, Ms McCluskey's family have been notified. A post mortem examination will take place in due course. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
"We would like to take this opportunity to extend our deepest gratitude to the public and media who have helped us in the search since Ms McCluskey was reported missing last Thursday (February 12).
"Our thoughts remain with Ms McCluskey's family."
