TEN people have been arrested after gunshots were fired at a Hampshire beauty spot.

Police are continuing to investigate following a serious public order incident at Portsdown Hill on Sunday, May 24 at around 5.20pm.

Armed officers were deployed after receiving reports of a firearm being discharged.

Ten people were arrested in connection with the incident.

Five people have been arrested on suspicion of affray and released on police bail until July 9.

  • A 24-year-old man from Fareham

A 26-year-old man from Havant has been arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of a firearm and is in police custody.

A 24-year-old man from Portsmouth has been arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and is in police custody.

A 24-year-old man from Havant has been arrested on suspicion of affray and is in police custody.

Two people were released without charge.
