POLICE have launched an investigation after a woman’s found on a Hampshire beach.

The grim discovery was made near the sailing club at Lee-on-the-Solent earlier today.

Forensic experts were called to the scene and a tent was erected over the body.

A police spokesman said; “Officers were called at 10.39am.

“The discovery is not being treated as suspicious.

“Enquiries are under way to confirm the woman’s identity and contact any next of kin.”
