Pensioner Reginald 'Bill' Robinson has scooped runner's up place in the Daily Echo Find the Ball competition for the second time in just a year.
This time the 78-year-old from Chandler's Ford netted £1,700.
Now Mr Robinson says he plans to use the cash to help fund a Mediterranean Cruise to ensure he and his wife Heather, 72, can enjoy some summer sun and take in the sights of Spain, Italy and Greece.
Mr Robinson, who has three children, said: "I hadn't done the competition for a while, but my wife said to me that I was being quite lucky at the moment so I should give it another go.
"It's the second time I have won runners up now and I'm absolutely delighted.
"I'm not quite sure what we will spend the money on, but we have enjoyed Med cruises in the past so it'd be nice to use the sum to pay for another one of those."
