FROM a humble background Sir Cliff Richard transformed himself into Britain's most successful pop singer.
Now with a host of multi-million pound properties across the globe, Sir Cliff is used to a life filled with the trappings of musical success.
But now the Peter Pan of pop has lent his support to a Hampshire charity to boost its work in one of the poorest communities in the world.
The star took part in a "Meet Sir Cliff" fundraiser in the Philippines to help raise money for the Philippine Community Fund (PCF), which was set up by Southampton woman Jane Walker. It is run from her home in the city.
The charity raises funds to provide education and healthcare for children who live on dumpsites and in graveyards in the Philippines.
