TOP British girl band Girls Aloud have been added to this year's Beaulieu Summer Pops star line-up.
The band will headline on Saturday July 7, sandwiched by The Australian Pink Floyd Show on Friday and Jools Holland and His Rhythm and Blues Orchestra featuring Lulu on Sunday, as announced in Scene South last week.
The Beaulieu Summer Pops is returning for its third year in the New Forest with a huge weekend music festival to be held in the spectacular grounds of the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu.
Pop starlets Girls Aloud will be making their Beaulieu debut this year.
With 14 Top 10 singles and three number ones in the UK singles chart and record sales in excess of 3.9 million in the UK alone, Girls Aloud, originally brought together for ITV1's Popstars The Rivals show five years ago, have become a pop phenomenon.
The group, consisting of Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh, have gone on to become one of the most successful pop groups of their era.
"We're honoured to be asked to play such a beautiful place like Beaulieu," said Girls Aloud's Sarah Harding.
"It will be an amazing night for all of us."
The band's recent greatest hits collection saw all of their singles included, from the number ones, Sound of the Underground and I'll Stand By You, to the brilliant Love Machine, Biology and Jump.
Live, the band have wowed arena and festival crowds alike with their spectacular stage show.
