A SECOND strike which threatened to close Hampshire libraries on Monday has been called-off to allow talks to continue between union bosses and county council employers.
There had been plans to make redundant 27 out of 64 librarian posts and slash the pay of 17 members of staff by about £4,500, but following talks there have been fresh proposals from library managers.
Negotiations are due to resume on April 27.
