FROM the charity shops of Southampton to the sunny beaches of Spain.
Grandmother Janet McInally is looking ahead to a new life of sun, sand and champagne after scooping more than £250,000 on the National Lottery.
Janet, 62, is giving up her council house in Lordswood, Southampton, and looking for her dream home after a lucky dip ticket came up with five winning numbers and the bonus ball.
Janet, who has just given up her job on the production line at the Specsavers warehouse in Swaythling, Southampton, said she plays the lottery every week.
She added: "I buy my ticket every Saturday on the way to my sister's house. Then we go into Shirley and have a good rummage through the charity shops."
The grandmother of four said she is still adjusting to life after winning the prize money from the draw on Saturday, March 31.
"I didn't check the numbers until Monday and when I saw that my numbers had come up I went into shock.
"I was literally sick and shut myself away in my house. I didn't phone anyone to tell them because I just couldn't believe it myself and it still hasn't sunk in."
"I should have known though because I always said I would have a big win one day."
Despite the £263,783 windfall, single Janet said she would still enjoy shopping for a bargain with her sister Barbara.
