A DESPERATE family have driven 2,000 miles back and forth to Southampton in the hunt for their stolen dog.
The Brookers have made more than 20 separate trips from their Oxfordshire home - the equivalent of travelling to Poland and back - since their cocker spaniel was dognapped while they were on holiday nine months ago.
Linda, Chris and their two children, Joel 18, and Rosi, 16, from Banbury, Oxfordshire, were visiting the city for a few days in August, having travelled down in their touring caravan.
They went into the city centre and tied up nine-year-old Bonnee outside a music store before heading inside and doing a bit of shopping.
When they came out they were told by passers-by that a man, believed to be homeless, had simply untied the dog and walked away with it.
Since then the family have made more than 20 visits back to Southampton in the hope of finding Bonnee.
Anyone with any information about Bonnee should contact Linda on 07773 039395 or visit www.doglost.co.uk.
