SLOUGH Estates International, a provider of flexible business space in Southampton, has announced profits of £690m, 18.5 per cent up on last year.
In and around Southampton, the company's property portfolio includes Trilogy, an industrial development at Segensworth and Vista Nova, a warehouse/distribution facility on the Nursling Industrial Estate.
The company has also just refreshed its corporate identity with a bold new name - SEGRO, which is derived from Slough Estates Group and is pronounced see-grow.
As one of Europe's leading providers of commercial property, SEGRO reported group lettings of 440,000 sq m and pre-lettings of 159,000 sq m worldwide.
Chief Executive Ian Coull said: "We entered 2006 in good shape and left it in even better shape. With our clear strategic focus on Flexible Business Space, a highly motivated team and the right organisational structure, we have consolidated on the strengthened position of recent years. Our new corporate identity also gives us a strong, bold and confident new image."
Rob Large, senior leasing surveyor within the southern team, said: "Along the south coast we have focused on providing flexible business space in areas that enable customers to expand within our holdings, with cost effective provision of services.
"At Segensworth North, near the M27, we successfully let two buildings at our Trilogy development last year to Business Post and First Sellers Pack."
