KING Sturge's Michael Green is in serious training for the London Marathon this Sunday, which will be his third in three decades.
Michael is running on behalf of the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust, part of the Disabilities Trust and aims to put in a good performance and raise their profile.
Michael said: "The Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust is a fantastic charity, and tries to fill a huge black hole in the provision of services for adults with an acquired brain injury, providing rehabilitation and accommodation services with the aim of enabling their clients to return to the community.
"A brain injury can happen to anyone, and the consequences for the individual and their family are enormous, with recovery often a complex and frustrating process."
Getting back into shape hasn't come easy for the partner in charge of the Southampton office.
He said: "I had forgotten how much spare time you need to devote to training. Fortunately it has been a fairly mild winter, but on the coldest days I happily admit to retreating to the treadmill in the gym!"
