A FRUSTRATED council worker took out his anger on his bosses by firing off an abusive e-mail on his last day at work before retiring.
The Hampshire County Council employee emailed everyone he could find on the authorities internal database questioning whether chief executive Peter Robertson deserved his £199,000 a year salary.
Former museums expert Peter Lawton also questioned the authority's move to axe 27 of its 64 librarian posts and criticised a decision to refuse to let staff attend a meeting to discuss the situation.
Mr Lawton retired on Friday after 15 years service with Hampshire County Council during which time he worked at the Explosion museum in Gosport as well as several others within the county.
In his e-mail he said: "In 15 years with HCC I have seen only a reduction in the provided service, but by God a huge increase in higher management self-satisfaction, funded off the back of the tax payers.
"Now there are ******** like Peter Robertson who would never last a second in industry, copping £200K pa and having the nerve to justify it in print."
