THE search is on to find Gosport's champion tug-of-war teams who will be crowned by the mayor next month.
The Gosport Highland Gathering is a line-up of fun events to raise money for the chosen charities of mayor June Cully, pictured, and will be held at Gosport Park on Saturday, May 5 from 11am to 4pm.
The Scottish-themed event will include pipe bands, Highland and country dancing, local charity and craft stalls, plus tossing the caber, the haggis and wellies.
Money raised will benefit the charity stall holders who take part and the mayor's own nominated charities.
If you would like to enter a tug-of-war team or are a local charity who would like have a stall then call Dot Dalrymple in advance of the event on 01329 282173.
