POLICE carried out a major search after a full set of women's clothing was found near a Hampshire stream.
The search was launched after the clothes were discovered at the Naish Holiday Village, New Milton. The operation was called off the next day after nothing was found.
Sgt Harry Wilson, of Lymington police, said: "We have conducted numerous inquiries to trace the owner of the clothing but so far these have all been negative.
"They may have been left behind by mistake but they may be linked to a more serious incident.
"We would ask anyone with information relating to the owner of the clothing to come forward."
The clothing comprised a pair of black tights, a pair of black trousers, two T-shirts, a hooded top and a pair of socks.
