A WOMAN was rushed to hospital this morning after being knocked down by a bus in Southampton city centre.
The woman, thought to be in her 60's, was in collision with the single-decker First Bus in the area of Vincents Walk and Hanover Buildings.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene shortly before 10.30am. The road, which was busy with several buses at the time, was closed while investigations began and the woman received immediate treatment.
Police then escorted the ambulance to Southampton General Hospital where it is thought the woman was being treated for serious head injuries.
