A HAMPSHIRE councillor struck down by a mystery illness has lost her battle for life.
Pauline Watkins, who was a candidate in this week's local elections, died peacefully at Southampton General Hospital after failing to come out of a coma.
The death of the 34-year-old Liberal Democrat has stunned people across the New Forest.
