A HAMPSHIRE teacher has been convicted of indulging in an illicit relationship with one of his pupils.
David Le Brocq, of Barnsland, West End, was found guilty of five out of six counts of engaging in sexual activity with a 15-year-old boy.
Speaking after the trial at Reading Crown Court, Le Brocq's victim, who is now 19, said he bore no grudge towards his former teacher.
It was the second trial for 30-year-old Le Brocq after jurors failed to reach a verdict last October.
His victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said: "I am glad it is all over. I have not been in touch with him since we broke up and just want to forget about what happened and get on with the next chapter in my life."
The court heard how Le Brocq had begun a relationship with the teenager while working at a Reading school in February 2004.
The teenager said he and Le Brocq had met regularly during school holidays and weekends at the teacher's flat in Christchurch, Dorset.
Their relationship broke down after Le Brocq revealed that his girlfriend, a teacher at the Reading school, was pregnant.
Le Brocq said that he had been confused about his sexuality but strenuously denied the allegations.
He was released on conditional bail and will be sentenced on June 8.
