POLICE have praised a brave 11-year-old Chandler's Ford boy who fought off a youth wearing a hoodie, who attempted to snatch his computer games console.
The attempted robbery happened in Ramalley Copse when the 11-year-old was approached by a youth who demanded that he hand over his computer games console.
The boy refused and ran away.
He was then chased by the would-be robber and pulled to the ground.
However, the victim managed to escape after hitting his attacker on the back.
The 11-year-old was winded but otherwise not hurt.
Police have issued a description of the youth, who was a white male, aged 15 to 16, and of a broad build.
He was wearing a white hooded top and black trousers, and he had long black hair covering one eye.
