A MAN who raped and murdered Polish student Angelika Kluk is a convicted sex offender jailed for a double sex attack in Hampshire.
Peter Tobin plied two schoolgirls with alcohol and drugs at his flat in Havant before raping one of the victims and sexually assaulting the other. He pleaded guilty at Winchester Crown Court and was jailed for 14 years for the sickening attacks in 1994.
Jurors at the High Court in Edinburgh convicted Tobin of killing Miss Kluk without knowing about his sordid past.
The jury took three-and-a-half hours to convict Tobin, 60, of the sexually-motivated killing in September last year.
Miss Kluk, 23, suffered severe head injuries and multiple stab wounds, before her bound and gagged body was dumped beneath the floor of St Patrick's Church in the Anderston area of Glasgow.
Tobin was jailed for life and ordered to spend a minimum of 21 years behind bars before being considered for release.
