A body has been found outside a Hampshire supermarket.
Police have cordoned off a busy street after the grim discovery was made at about 7am this morning.
An investigation has now been launched after the discovery on the pavement outside a Tesco store.
The area around the shop in Crasswell Street, Portsmouth, has been cordoned off by officers while they investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.
CCTV cameras in the area are being examined and police are keen to hear from anyone who has information on the incident.
Officers say the body is that of a man, believed to be in his late 40s. The body was found early this morning.
The cordon is expected to be lifted later today.
Anyone who has information is asked to contact Hampshire Constabulary on 101.
