THREE Hamsphire schools are competing for a piece of the action in one of of the biggest TV shows on Saturday night.
The hunt for the Joseph Choir has begun and three very excited school choirs are among 300 nationally hoping to impress Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber and perform live to millions of viewers on BBC'1s Any Dream Will Do.
The choirs of Lymington CE Infant School, Hampshire Collegiate School, Romsey, and Hordle Walhampton School, Lymington, are desperate for your votes to make their dreams come true.
Lord Webber, who is currently searching for the next star of the West End to play Joseph, has launched the competition, making Joseph the buzz word in corridors up and down the country.
Now each choir, made up of six to 11-year-olds, faces the harsh reality of the public vote as their video performances of a Joseph melody are voted for online and ultimately by Lord Webber himself.
Lymington's Robin Choir leader Carole Dowding said: "The children have been working really hard to learn the music.
"They are beside themselves with excitement already."
Elaine Hooton, head teacher at Hampshire Collegiate, said: "This has been an exciting time for the children. They have worked incredibly hard to learn their songs and choreography in next to no time."
Sue Watkiss, director of music at Hordle Walhampton, added: "It has been such fun and the children are just so excited. It's what everyone is talking about."
