A WOMAN was killed last night following a multi-car pile up on a slip road of the M27.
At least three cars were involved in the crash at junction seven at Hedge End which happened around 6.30pm.
Paramedics were called to the scene to help treat up to six other people who had suffered minor injuries. It is thought a child as young as eight had been travelling in one of the cars.
The male driver of a silver Hyundai four by four, believed to be in his 30s or 40s, had to be cut free from his car by firefighters.
The woman who later died from her injuries was also cut free from a yellow Corsa she had been driving.
Police are appealing for information and witnesses to contact the roads policing unit in Totton on 0845 045 4545.
