22/24 The Hundred, Romsey is to be offered for sale at Allsop's next London auction on Monday 21 May. The town centre shop is currently let to Woolworths plc and produces current rents of £71,500 per annum. The lot will be offered with a guide price of £1.35m - £1.4m.
George Walker Auctioneer and Partner at Allsop comments, "This property occupies a prominent town centre location and is likely to attract strong interest at auction. Despite recent interest rate rises commercial property continues to appeal to private investors. Approximately 500 potential buyers attend each of our commercial auctions and there has been no let up in their popularity over the last few months.
"Our May auction follows on from Allsop's most successful first quarter to date with the February and March sales raising in excess of £241m. Even now, with further interest rate rises predicted, investors appear to have ongoing confidence in the property market."
