POLICE are searching for two men who robbed a student at knifepoint as he used a cash machine in Southampton.
The 17-year-old victim was using the cash machine outside the HSBC Bank at the junction of Burgess Road and University Road.
He had just withdrawn £20 when he noticed two men stood behind him and when he turned around he realised one of them had a knife.
One of the robbers then demanded he hand over the cash and put the card back in the machine to withdraw some more.
The student gave the man the money and, as he went to use the machine again, the two robbers ran off in the direction of University Road.
The incident happened between 9.30pm and 10.30pm on Sunday night.
Police describe the two men as around 20 years old and who were both wearing a grey hooded top, grey tracksuit trousers and a pair of sunglasses.
The robber who spoke to the victim is described as black and more than 6ft, and the second is described as an Asian man of around 6ft.
