SUZUKI GB and the British School of Motoring have joined forces to launch a dedicated Suzuki training scheme.

It will see successful participants not only gain a full motorcycle licence, but also qualify for a special £99 insurance offer on selected brand new Suzuki machines.

Running from BSM's dedicated training facility in Birmingham, the new scheme offers non-licence holders an intensive six-day training course that takes riders from compulsory basic training through to their direct access test, on board a selection of Suzuki motorcycles.

Announcing the scheme, Suzuki GB marketing manager Paul de Lusignan said: "With UK adoption of the 2nd Driving Licence Directive in 2008, we believe there has never been a better time to take your motorcycle test.

"With our new initiative, customers can be confident of professional training with BSM, while enjoying a selection of Suzuki models as their confidence and ability grows.

"To top this off we are pleased to offer successful participants fully comprehensive insurance on a selection of brand-new Suzuki models for just £99."

The Suzuki BSM training scheme costs just £549 and includes six days full instruction (on the Van Van 125 and SV650), a CBT and the direct access test itself.

In addition, participants are given the unique opportunity to try other Suzuki machines after successfully completing their test.

Models included are the all-new Bandit 650 and V-Strom 650 models.

Mike Loydall, head of rider training for BSM, commented: "We are delighted to reach this agreement with Suzuki.

"It's very encouraging to see a manufacturer with such commitment to rider training and safety, while actively trying to expand the motorcycle market too".

The £99 Insurance offer is available on the SV650/S, GSF650/SA, DL650T/GT or GSR600/S, within 90 days of successful completion of motorcycle test. Insurance conditions apply.
