TWO DANGEROUS dogs are on the loose in Hampshire this evening after a child was attacked.
The youngster, thought to be a boy, was taken to Southampton General Hospital by ambulance after the incident.
Armed police officers have now launched a major hunt after the two Rottweilers dogs escaped in Otterbourne near Chandler’s Ford.
A police helicopter is also circling the area to help track down the animals.
The dangerous dogs were last seen in a field just behind the Otter Pub in Boyatt Lane.
Police are now working with the dog owners to track down the animals.
Officers would also not release details of the child or the injuries they have suffered.
They say the dogs are considered to be highly dangerous and people in the Otterbourne area are advised to avoid the area if possible.
Anyone who spots the dogs is asked to call 999 and quote the incident 556.
