MOTORISTS faced lengthy delays after a crash on a Hampshire motorway.

The four-vehicle collision happened at about 5.30pm on the junction of the M27 eastbound and the M3 northbound and three lanes were blocked.

Police, fire and ambulance services were called to the scene and the Highways Agency used the hard shoulder to try and allow more vehicles past the scene.

Traffic was reported to be tailing back onto the M27 westbound and eastbound and drivers were advised to use alternative routes.
