A SECOND scheme to redevelop a chunk of Winchester city centre will be discussed on Friday.
City council planners are considering the proposal by London and Henley for the redevelopment of land off Middle Brook Street.
The developer wants to demolish shops, the post office and the multi-storey car park and build shops, 133 homes and underground parking.
The site, which London and Henley owns, is within the area on which Thornfield Properties has planning permission to carry out its Silver Hill Regeneration.
London and Henley says it is committed to its own scheme and will resist compulsory purchase orders that Thornfield or the city council may seek.
