A mother and two children were rescued from their home after a fire in Southampton today.
Firefighters were called to Dempsey Road in Sholing at 8am after a neighbour raised the alert after hearing smoke alarms in the house.
The two children, thought to be under the age of four, and their mum were taken to Southampton General Hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen of the first floor flat.
Fire crews from Hightown Fire station attended the blaze.
