CHRISTIAN Aid’s 70th anniversary will be celebrated in Winchester Cathedral on Monday November 30 at 7.30pm.
It will be addressed by Dr Rowan Williams, national chairman and former Archbishop of Canterbury.
The Winchester community has been actively engaged with Christian Aid for more than 50 years.
They hold numerous fund raising events, including coffee mornings and lunches, as well as supporting the annual charity Christmas Cards at the Guildhall. Each year hundreds of local volunteers take to the streets to collect during Christian Aid week. Since the Millennium, they have raised more than £500,000.
