Hampshire soldiers serving in Iraq were so determined to raise money in memory of a colleague's mum that they didn't even let intense bombing stop them.
As Territorial Army soldiers Colin Dale and Adam Hayward took part in the game at Basra airport they were forced to dive for cover when they became targets for a mortar attack.
The pair, from Southampton, had organised the charity game after being touched by the death of their colleague Lance Corporal Craig White's mum from cancer.
The moment the bombs fell was captured on video which you can see on the Daily Echo's website.
Corporal Dale, 42, said: "When the alarm went off I was in the middle of a sliding tackle so I just continued sliding underneath a truck to take cover."
