HUNDREDS of pupils have put their signatures to a petition against human trafficking which will be presented to parliament.
Southampton Itchen MP John Denham visited Bitterne Park Secondary School in Southampton to collect the 600-signature petition.
The "Stop the Traffik" petition was instigated by Year 10 student Katie Newport who spearheaded the project. Head teacher Susan Trigger said: "Katie has done a huge amount of work on this. The pupils have been learning about slavery in citizenship lessons and as part of their GCSE history course."
