AN elderly woman was targeted by distraction burglars in Southampton.
The 86-year-old was in her home in Weston Grove Road when a teenager came to the door telling her he had lost his dog before walking into her home.
Inside the teenager wrote down his telephone number in case she saw the dog, but after he left the woman noticed two other teenagers in her living room.
It is not known if anything was stolen during the incident and it is unclear how or when they left the premises.
The youth is described as aged 16 years, 5ft 10in, dark brown hair, clean, proportionate build, speaking with a local accent and wearing a navy blue and white coloured shirt.
Detectives in Bitterne are investigating the incident between 3pm and 3.30pm on Monday, May 21 and have appealed to anyone who was in the area of Weston Grove Road at the time to contact them.
