A UNIQUE cafe has opened its doors in Southampton for the first time.
Board in the City was officially opened on Friday by proud owner Hayley Binstead, 44, from Millbrook, and her team of board game lovers.
The venue in Onslow Road will operate like a resource centre where visitors can choose from more than 200 games on site, with games masters on hand to go through the rules.
Hayley and her family have been building up their stock since summer 2015, scouring charity shops and accepting donations, as reported last month by the Daily Echo.
The café menu has been designed specifically for the venue, with Hayley’s daughter Tia in charge of the kitchen cooking up a selection of mainly vegan and vegetarian dishes with some meat and fish.
The café is open from 11am-11pm daily and is on the site of the former Dorchester Arms.
